I am a senior at Frisco High School in the Independent Study & Mentorship program with a passion for studying forensic psychology.

I aspire to learn more about human behavior as it relates to the legal system, especially in the realm of competency evaluations, risk assessment, or criminal responsibility with the use of case study applications, legal standards, and multi-scale inventory testing. While studying law and litigation at the University of Chicago, I gained greater appreciation for the legal process, including exposure to state and federal courts. I also participated in mock trials which emphasized the dynamics of trial science.

As an INTJ, I value ambitious curiosity and rationality. My interests outside of forensic psychology include activism for human, animal, and environmental efforts. I also admire the liberal arts and cultural studies of history, philosophy, and social movements. I have always held great respect for learning the origin of ideas and philosophical development across the spectrum.

In the fall, I will be enrolled at New York University, Class of 2023!

MISSION STATEMENT:

I will challenge myself to grasp the proper skills needed to produce compelling research and effective analysis. I hope to establish a valuable connection with a professional in the field of clinical and forensic psychology that can enlighten me with their experience and guidance. Specifically, I want to further understand the process of creating detailed reports of scientific insight and empirical data through critical thinking. My target areas of growth include research and evaluation as well as conducting analysis as it relates to individual behavior and mental health. Overall, I want to flourish as an individual, a student, and an aspiring professional.
