Independent Study & Mentorship is a rigorous course program offered throughout Frisco ISD for students who possess a passion for a specific field of study. At Frisco High School, the program is facilitated by Karene Goff who is dedicated to the success of her students. Students are considered for admission through application, teacher recommendations, and a follow up interview. At the beginning of the school year, ISM students start their journey by conducting informational interviews and research. Then, students will select a professional in their field of study to be their mentor for the remainder of the year. The program is heavily student-led which requires leadership and promotes real-world practice that will benefit the student throughout their future.
